BASEBALL : Maddux wins No. 350
San Diego, CA - San Diego pitcher Greg Maddux became the ninth member of the 350 victory club Saturday night when the Padres defeated the Colorado Rockies, 3-2.

The 42-year-old improved to 350-217 throughout his 23 big-league seasons with the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers and the Padres.

The milestone complements the many other accolades the future Hall of Famer has already gathered, including four NL Cy Young Awards, a World Series championship and a record 17 Gold Glove Awards.

Maddux has a career 3.12 ERA in 4864 1/3 innings, and has recorded 3299 strikeouts.

Cy Young leads the all-time wins list with 511. Roger Clemens is eighth with 354.
