I use Windows 95. When attempting to connect to
the server after installation has completed, I get the error message "EAppSocketErr:
Version != 2.0." What does this mean?
Under Windows 95, our software client requires that Winsock 2 be implemented.
A corresponding system update is available at www.microsoft.com/windows95/.
Please read the installation instructions carefully before updating
your system.I get the following error message: EAppSockettErr:SSL_get_verify_result(9)
or EAppSockettErr:SSL_get_verify_result(10). What does this mean?
This means that your system date is incorrect. Double-click on your
Windows clock, which is normally located in the lower right-hand corner
of your screen, and correct the date.I use Windows 98. When attempting to connect to
the server after installation has completed, I get the error message "EAppSocketErr:
Version != 2.0." What does this mean?
This indicates that you are not using Windows 98 Second Edition. Please
update from Windows 98 to Windows 98 Second Edition. After the installation
routine starts up, the program freezes. What can I do to prevent
this?
Close all other running programs. If the installation doesn't continue,
restart your computer and try again. If the problem persists, please
e-mail our support team at support@worldpx.com.
Try to provide a detailed description of the problem, and specify which
operating system you use and whether there might be any conflicting
hardware or software on your computer.I have a problem with my DNS server. What are the
exact IP addresses for your server?
We currently use the following addresses:200.124.133.131
200.124.133.227
When attempting to connect to your server from behind
a firewall, I get “connection error 12003.” Which ports
do I need to have open to connect to your server?
Our client software must be able to connect to all IP addresses between
200.124.133.131 and 200.124.133.138, and between 200.124.133.227 and
200.124.133.234. It uses ports 1111 and 3333. Alternatively, reset
the WLAN router, if any.FIREWALL ISSUES:
I have downloaded the WorldPX Game Client and it
will not connect to the Poker Server.
The WorldPX Game Client communicates with a Game Server, which facilitates
all of the game play. If there is something blocking one of the “ports” such
as a Firewall, which the Game Client uses to connect to the Game Server,
your connection will not be successful and you will receive an error
message.
What ports does the WorldPX game client use to communicate
with the Poker Server?
The WorldPX Game Client uses ports 1111, 3333 and 3334 as target ports. This
means that the WorldPX Game Client does not use port 1111 on the client
side (your side), but tries to reach port 1111, 3333 and 3334 on
the Poker Server. So, if there is any software or hardware such as a
Firewall which may monitor and block "outgoing" packets "to" non-general
ports, the blocking function MUST be turned OFF.Note: General ports are typically Port 80 (Web), Port 25 (e-mail), Port 110 (POP3), Port 21 (Telnet), etc.
Some Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have firewalls which block outgoing packets to non-general ports. In this case, you need to contact your ISP to check if they block any outgoing traffic.
Windows TM 98 and 2000 do not have a Firewall built in and will let the WorldPX Game Client connect to the internet without any problems. However, Windows XP TM (Home and Professional) have a Firewall built in and by default will not block the WorldPX Game Client.
If for some reason the default setting has been changed by you, you can add the WorldPX Game Client to the list of “exceptions” or connections which the Windows Firewall will allow. Click on “Start” --> "Control Panel" --> "Windows Firewall" --> “Exceptions” --> “Add Program” and choose "wpex" or “WorldPX” from the list and then click OK.

I am using Norton Internet Security. Will this block
the WorldPX Game Client?
By default Norton Internet Security software will allow the WorldPX
Game Client to connect to the internet by default. If the default setting has been changed by you, the Software will ask you the following question when you run the WorldPX Game Client:

In this case, you MUST select "Allow always" and click OK.
If the Norton Internet Security software is already set it to block the WorldPX Game Client, you can change that setting in "Personal Firewall Configuration" --> "Program Control"

Choose "wpex" or “WorldPX” in the Program list and set it to "Allow" and then click OK.
